Yukon Energy works with our parent company the Yukon Development Corporation (YDC) to provide electricity and related energy services in the most economical yet environmentally and socially responsible way possible.
YDC is a crown corporation of the Yukon government. It has worked with Yukon Energy on a wide range of projects that involve salmon and freshwater fish, heritage, waterfowl research, public education and awareness, greenhouse gas emission reduction, utility systems planning and national industry best practices, to mention a few.
Until December 31, 2005, the Energy Solutions Centre was our sister company. Although it has now become a part of the Yukon government, it continues its role of helping Yukoners implement projects that will save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
