Seeking Yukon's Brightest

Yukon Energy's scholarships are a significant investment in our communities and symbolize our ongoing belief in the potential of the young people in the territory. Details for each scholarship can be found in the downloadable application forms found on this page. Note that preference will be given to qualified Yukon First Nations applicants.

Jamie Nickel – 2nd Year Premier Multi-Year Scholarship – Bachelor of Economics

Lucas Taggart-Cox – 1st Year Premier Scholarship – Mechanical Engineering

Kyran Allen – Ed Chambers Memorial Trades Scholarship – Powerline Technician Apprenticeship Level 2

Jada Gaber – Ed Chambers Memorial Trades Scholarship – Pre-Employment Electrician

Yukon Energy Premier Scholarships

One award of $3,000 for a first-year student who can demonstrate financial need

Up to three awards of multi-year scholarships totaling $9,000 each for second to fourth year students, plus two years of guaranteed summer work at Yukon Energy

These scholarships are for post-secondary students studying mechanical, electrical, environmental, or civil engineering, or business, economics and computer technology.

Yukon Energy Ed Chambers Memorial Trades Scholarships

Two awards of $1,000 each

This scholarship is in memory of Ed Chambers. Mr. Chambers served on Yukon Energy's Board of Directors from February 1991 to May 2004 and was a tremendous asset to this Corporation. This scholarship is for students entering pre-apprenticeship or entry-level programs in the areas of electrician, power line technician, electronics technician, heavy duty mechanic, industrial instrument mechanic, industrial mechanics (millwright) or machinist.
