Swan-Cam

The swans have left the Southern Yukon for their summer home further north and our swan cam has been de-activated for now. It will be turned on again in the spring. We thank M’Clintock Bay resident Peter Heebink for his assistance in setting up this swan cam.

Note that when the camera is operating, it is located on the northwestern shore of M'Clintock Bay at the north end of Marsh Lake, Yukon. The camera looks amost due south towards the opposite shore where there is open water formed by a deep channel at the Yukon River outflow. The best viewing times are generally in the late afternoon and evening when the sun is behind the camera. The light is also be good early in the morning, although there is often fog at this time of day from the cold nights.
